SYTYCD was your typical vegas show, I'd say I could easily guess about 1/2 the people making the Top 20. ( Glee )( Top Chef ) Happy Winchester Day! Looking forward to Vampire Diaries and Supernatural, though last week at this time it was fangirls and SPN.

When I woke up this morning on this September 11th I could not believe that eight years have passed since September 11, 2001. I remember that day and the feelings I had on that day as vividly as they happened last week instead of eight years ago and yet most days I can't remember what I had for lunch the day before or if I wore my favorite black skirt three days ago. I say never forget, because I can honestly say I never will. I will never forget the fear I felt being pulled off my plane at LaGuardia. I'll never forget my first glimpse of a sky filled with black. I will certainly never forget what it was like to see scared people running for what seemed like their lives from the airport and down the parkway. No matter where you were and who you were with I hope you never forget and help others remember.

Did some deleting on my journal today. Mostly removing dead journals, journals that I have no interaction with anymore and a few old comms. No big deal. Just some end of summer cleaning. Really nothing to look at here.

Happy, happy Birthday to missyjack! I hope you have an awesome day. :D Over the weekend I made a stop into Barnes & Noble to use a gift card I found that I forgot I had. I bought the 10th Anniversary edition of Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson, which is a seriously amazing book, and her new book Wintergirls. The author has an amazing grasp of writing teenagers. Speak is a story that is still just as relevant and thought-provoking 10 years later. I re-read it in a day. Then yesterday read Wintergirls. It's just as touching as Speak. It addresses the issue of eating disorders and honestly was so graphic at points in its descriptions of the lengths the main character would go to keep losing weight that I was was somewhat squeamish while reading, but it tells a story I think teenage girls and women in general faced with a society obsessed with the skewed ideal of physical perfection should read. It's not pretty, it doesn't wrap everything up in a perfect little bow--but it does tell the truth. Also, I was watching a commercial for the movie Taking Woodstock and what did I get surprise!JDM. Did I know he was in this movie?

I know everyone is in the middle of finale recovery, but I have a request for recipes.
I'm looking to expand my collection of vegetarian recipes. I'm not a vegetarian. I eat meat; I like meat, but I also try to limit the amount of red meat I eat for health reasons and I can only take so much chicken. I love fish, but fish can get expensive.
If you have veggie recipes that you love hit me up with them.
I should also mention that I LOVE cheese, but try to limit the amount of cheese I put in a dish. Also, I mostly am just cooking for myself.
***I'm leaving this post public, so if you know someone that likes to share recipes you can point them this way.

I'm RPS112.Wheee! I can't wait for fic to start rolling in I'm going to spend the summer basking in lengthy amazing stories!
